Newtown Good Food Fair

Newtown Good Food Fair

October has to be one of my favourite months in Sydney, because October is Good Food Month! There are so many events celebrating everything yummy that no one goes hungry…

I headed over to the Newtown Good Food Fair this weekend to get reacquainted with the foodie scene and I am super excited to see that there is so much more on offer than just Thai food these days!

We started with a drink from craft brewery Young Henry’s… The Natural Lager was refreshing in the hot sun.

We took a turn around the market stalls in Whateley Street…

I decided on the stuffed zucchini flowers from Bauhaus West and was not disappointed.

Andrea went for a meatball from Russo and Russo which she enjoyed…

With room left over we couldn’t go past a Nutella Bruschetta for dessert from Oldtown in Newtown.

Nutella, bacon, spiced pumpkin, strawberries, marshmallows with an injection of raspberry coulis!

We then walked down to Newtown Square to check out the rest of the food and drink on offer… and soaked up some of the festive atmosphere before heading home.

I’m looking forward to enjoying more of Sydney’s Good Food Month offerings in the coming weeks!
