Art & About

One of the changes that I first noticed when moving back to my home in the Inner West of Sydney was all the amazing murals that had popped up around the place. Previously there was just lots of tags and graffiti littering the walls but over the past few years it seems that Marrickville Council has been gentrifying the area through its initiative, Perfect Match, which pairs local property owners with artists to promote legitimate creativity and art in public spaces.

So one sunny Saturday, I took myself out to do a bit of a tour of the works around home. Here’s just a taste of what’s out there.

Our tour then took us through Enmore for a nice cold Aperol Spritz before heading home.DSC01868
